Maybe this is my girly side finally emerging, but I’ve decided to get two pink colored things this past weekend. A new linkshell and a new laptop. The linkshell was a spur of the moment deal, as I wanted to see if anyone had taken the name AstralCandy on Ragnarok. Lo and behold, it wasn’t taken and I decided and to color it pink. Still deciding if I should move all 6 regular members onto AstralCandy or just keep theSyndicate LS name. I still have GameOver, too, deep in the recesses of my storage…

The other pink item I decided to get is a Flamingo Pink Dell Inspiron 1520. I’ve been flip-flopping between pink and blue, and decided to get pink since it was out voted by 2 points and because Orophen is getting green. Spring Green and Flamingo Pink look better together than Spring Green and Midnight Blue. Though the laptop has been configured to play some games for now (maybe I’ll be trying out WoW?), the laptop is mostly for school related things and to allow me to work/play outside of my bedroom.

Now onto the weekend stuff!

First, a /wave to Jowah since I didn’t get back in time to do so. I was afk, scrolled up the chat log, and saw that I was waved down. Second, a big thanks to Orophen, Mekare, and Reiokyu for letting me have a cut of their BCNM drops despite the fact I had no participation in it whatsoever. It was a really nice gesture, and I’m happy to have some money in my pockets again! Lastly, I want to thank Mekare for giving me her second Opaline set! I was hesistant at first, but then couldn’t help but think how cute it was after she had traded me the gear.

Although I mostly caught up on sleep, I did get a chance to play with Mekare and Reiokyu by poking fun at Reiokyu leveling PLD (last weekend) and then going down to the Aqueducts for a good few hours. Now, I wasn’t going to post the screenshot I am going to post now, but because a certain someone claimed vengeance on a Tarutaru Fomor MNK smacking my head while I was resting? Yeah.

Don’t talk about vengeance when I have photos of your ass in metal underwear, kk?

Anyway, in the Aqueducts, we ran into the NM Mahisha. We were poking at it for awhile (killing off the PLD and BRD Fomors), before finally deciding to give Mahisha a poke. According to some other sites, it is killable by either two BLU/NIN, soloable by a BST, or will need a party of 6 or more to kill it off. Well, since the update for 2handers, we found that you just need 2 WAR/NIN (one was level 40 and the other 39) and a WHM to kill it off.

I died mid way into the fight with a one hit KO. My fault for having less than 400 HP, and a ton of MP to help along our small party. Anyway, we didn’t get many drops that night except for a lot of dark crystals, maybe a bronze key, less than five beastmen seals, and two Shakudo Ingots. A pity… but it was still fun dusting out my WHM and knowing that I can, at the bare minimum, keep my party alive. Maybe it will push me to get to 60 and then maybe to 75 before Hiroshiko does. ;o

Today I normally would be spending some time in the late morning/afternoon poking around in the game for awhile, taking a break, and then going at it again during the evening. Instead I was off at Federal Way at a conference for work, and feeling down right exhausted by the time I got home. The conference itself was great, but waking up at 5:00 A.M. on a Saturday morning is simply a killer!

Anyway, after a super busy and stressful week, I finally have the time to upload images that I have had on back log and write a post.

One of the things Orophen/Derrick and I have done once in awhile is going out and duoing as WHM and RDM. Its not exactly the prettiest things to do, but its a lot of fun to do when you want to kill time and just have some fun. Though its not exactly cool when he pulled a VT as our starting mob. I don’t often play WHM, so I had to go from months of neglecting my WHM to trying to pick it up quick so as to keep ourselves alive during the marathon fight. We managed to do really well despite the fight taking a total of 15 minutes for us to kill off the mob! Ick. Although we moved off to DC and T afterwards in Lufaise Meadows, it was nice knowing that I could still keep us alive and not have us die so quickly.

Because I am not always on, I don’t always get to do things I want to do. You know, like helping people? While in the Citadel, Mekare and I kept poking fun at Hiroshiko about his WHM hat. I know, I shouldn’t talk… but! I can’t help but do so especially because I’m also a WHM. Yes, maybe that is lame reasoning, but I’m sticking to that story for now! Take that, Hiroshiko!

If you are/were a contributor to the FFXICyclopedia, I encourage you to also consider contributing to the BGWiki. For users who want a new source of information, there you have it. Of course, there isn’t much up since it is fairly new, but hopefully that will be remedied in the up coming weeks as more is slowly added to the database.

Up until now, our party has consisted of mainly three BLU. However, as my wrist and finger has given me a lot of pain as of late, I haven’t really been able to play as often, as long, or in the way I want to. I need to take breaks often and for long periods of time. It really sucks as I wish to play with my friends and play the game alongside them. But my friends are a pretty understanding bunch and try to work with me and my limitations. One way they do so is make sure I am constantly on /follow with one of them, talking to me on Skype or MSN voice chat, and generally being flexible when I need to take a break or go away. They don’t put up a hissy fit when I start to show signs of weariness. Instead they encourage I go, because I tend to be terribly stubborn about staying for as long as I can. Pain or no pain.

For this reason, that is very beneficial to us all, we BLU have mostly been leveling up via ENMs and missions. Some people might look at this in disdain, but for now it works for us all. I can still level up, play, and be with my friends and log off after an hour and a half when my wrist feels as though it has been pushed to its limit.

That said, for those who are sick and tired of the RNG and SMN only setups, try the ENMs with a party set up that pleases you. We knew our set up of 3 BLU and a WHM, BLM, and WAR would work because we’ve done it before. The ENMs are easy and allow for people to claim an easy 3,000 EXP in a short amount of time (most of our battles don’t even last three minutes). Yes, it takes awhile to get up the Spire, but its a relatively easy going pace for us versus doing a normal party session. But the ENMs are pretty much a precursor to what lies ahead for the mission itself. Its weaker, yes, but you still get an idea of what to do and what not to do.

By November, I’m hoping that things will get better when I am finally admitted into Physical Therapy. Its a long wait from now, but I’m keeping my hopes up! In the mean time, enjoy a picture of me being a part of Meow Mix for this little kitty:

So, Diabolos. It wasn’t so bad, really. Sort of. It was a weird time, and I will try to go over it quickly since I need to go to bed really soon:

Run 1: Trial run with five people. We managed to take it down about 15% without any medicines at all. Could have gone further, but we didn’t. It was, after all, just a trial run.

Run 2: Brother was sick and we were trying some really messed up things to actually make it work. Me being semi-sick, too, however, put a wrench in things. I had to run up and down the stairs to get him doing things, and then eventually my brother was completely thrown out of the game when my father decided to restart that computer and use his computer for business purposes. Tried to get it to work by running two Windowers on my computer, but my computer is old and that plan failed. As did this run because of too many complications.

Run 3: Us BLU wanted to try a different tactic at the last minute, but it didn’t work out at all. Not only that but let me stress if I say jump: You jump. Nuff said. Even cursed like a sailor on Skype because I was so damned annoyed. ._.;

Run 4: This is where I want to kill my brother. After saying he didn’t want to go, causing me stress and grief, and then other problems to the party… the fucker logs on and decides to play his character. -_-; We win and break the record by 10 seconds.

Anyway, because I have been getting minimal online time as of late, I haven’t really gotten the chance to see the new mobs in Besieged. The other night? I finally got my chance. With that, I decided to take a new pet home with me that night.

Too bad I had to run away like a chicken because he decided he didn’t like me so much. :(

At first we didn’t want to believe. At first we wanted to think maybe it was just shit starting up. Seeing all of that? I’m not so sure anymore. In fact, I’m to the point of wanting to throw up after seeing those numbers… someone go write me a check for $25,000 up front. :P

I’m back! Kind of sort of. Because my wrist and fingers still hurt, I have tried to find a work around over having to type so much with my fingers on the game. The solution? Making good use of /follow and using MSN Messenger Voice Chat and Skype to talk with my friends. We’re trying to get Team Speak or Vent up, but I’m not sure that is going so well.

One of the first things I did when I came back was to wander around Sea Serpent Grotto with Mekare, Reiokyu, Orophen, and Enkidou. We were hunting items needed for O.hat for myself. It was a fun little walk out there, until the guys started to gang up on me and Mekare and we were forced to retreat to KRT by ourselves. From there we decided to commit suicide together after telling Orophen I would fight Vrtra if I rolled anything higher than a 500. I rolled a 577.

I know its been awhile since I have updated, and its mostly related to my wrist and finger. They ARE feeling a little bit better; more so when I’m not typing or anything. I’ll be seeing the doctor tomorrow morning to talk to him about my wrist and will update this entry if he says anything of significance. Otherwise I will be laying off the typing for awhile longer. I really don’t want to, but its something that has to be done. To my friends on Ragnarok, don’t worry- sooner or later I’ll come back and harass you all again. I know a certain dhal, er, Elvaan misses my poking at him. ^_~

This past Saturday was mostly a CoP 3-3 to 3-5 prep run minus Makai because he has been having troubles (re)installing FFXI. At this rate I’ll need to buy the DVD again so that he can play because I doubt he’ll want to install from my CDs from way back when.

The rest of this entry will mostly be behind a cut as it is both image intense and because its mostly random moments I have shared with my friends. I guess you can say its mostly a sentimental, silly entry versus anything noteworthy. So if you’re interested, then press on my friend!
